What is icu academy?
ICU Academy was founded by Nicola Farmer to assist children to align with and develop their natural abilities that educational instituitions are unable to offer.
The ICU Academy is an additional form of learning alongside mainstream education to assist children to grow in confidence and give them the skills to enhance their learning abilities in many other areas of their lives so they can realise their potential.
ICU Academy was set up to assist children to become the best version of themselves, to align them with their future and offer them a start in life that many generations before didn’t have the opportunity to experience.
Our children are the future generations who can and will lead us into the light of peace, harmony and new ways of being.
The Teaching Programme is attended for 10 to 12 one hour sessions, during which a child will learn to read, play games and is encouraged to be creative wearing a blindfold. He/she will also engage with many other fun activities and learning tools including Books, Puzzles, Games, IPads, Computers, Art Materials, Building Bricks/Blocks, Moulding Clay, Jewellery Pieces, Picture/Playing Cards, whilst being praised for everything He/she does, to increase levels of confidence, self-esteem, self-worth and many other important social and life qualities.
This programme allows students to access both right and left hemispheres of the brain, enabling the ability to integrate logic and creativity simultaneously.
This technique assists children in their development during very precious years of their lives.
It is beautiful and powerful and enables children to grow and blossom in many areas of their lives.
This work has been developed and enhanced to suit the children of today in this exciting era.
Who, How, Where & When
Children attend a between 10 & 12 sessions, weekly during term time or every other day during school holidays.
Children are taught 1:1 and can only be taught in pairs and groups when their level of competency is established.
This is available for children between the ages of 6 & 12, who can read and know colours and shapes, depending on their abilities and maturity.
The ICU Programme is a pioneering technique for children’s development, addressing their educational, emotional, mental and spiritual needs.
It facilitates an ability with the children to align with all their natural abilities, bringing into alignment the human mind (logic) and the outer consciousness (creative) so they can function in a more balanced way.
This programme has successfully brought science and spirituality together.

FAQs
What is the structure of the classes for children?
Children attend approximately 1 hour sessions up to two times per week for 10 or 12 sessions. (This can be increased during school holidays).
The sessions are usually carried out one to one.
Does my child need any equipment to begin this course?
Your child will need some blackout glasses either ‘Mindfold’ or similar such as ski goggles that are blacked out. The glasses must be completely black.

What age groups does the program work with?
I work with children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. There are some exceptions based on the level of maturity of a child and whether they have any emotional, mental and/or educational challenges.
Each child is assessed as to their age and suitability, however, all children need to be willing and able to take part. This is alternative education or schooling

In what ways will this program help my child?
This programme can improve learning as it:

Can this program assist children who are considered to be on the Autistic Spectrum?
The program has the potential to assist them in many ways and certainly offers them the opportunity to enhance their senses and feel more at peace within themselves.
Can this program cause any harm to my child?
The children who have been through this program have displayed and amazed us with their abilities.
It is however important to remember that they are children and will always have their own personalities and child like behaviours.
The program is designed to enhance and assist them going forward in life and does not cause any harm.
Will my child start to see spirits or become psychic?
Children may develop extraordinary abilities, however, this is already a part of their natural Psyche.
Each child’s development is unique and it is not possible to say prior to the program if this is likely to occur.
Can children be taught with their siblings and/or in groups?
This program is designed to work with children one to one.
Children can be naturally competitive, which could hinder the growth of a child who is in the upper age bracket and/or lacks confidence.
Can I learn this method as an adult?
Children are our priority at this time, I feel that by engaging them in this practice from a young age there is every potential for them to remain heart centred, left/right brain coherent and offer them the best start in life.
Is there a guarantee that my child will see with a blindfold?
The priority of this program is to enable children to align with their natural abilities, reach levels of self-confidence and believe in themselves.
Each child is unique and is taught accordingly. The program has proven to be rewarding in many ways and has assisted children to develop even without being able to see blindfolded.
Does this program work with blind children?
Yes, there is every possibility that I can deliver this program to children who have lost their sight. However, the Academy has not yet conducted a study and will endeavour to update this information when appropriate.
